If you build websites for clients, you also want to run them properly: separated, with their own logins and clear billing. With Reseller Hosting RS 10 you create up to 10 cPanel accounts for your clients in WHM, in addition to your own account.
What agencies need from their hosting
An agency rarely looks after just one website. Every project brings domains, mailboxes, updates and support requests. Above all, the hosting has to keep things organised and must not eat up time in day-to-day work.

Reseller hosting or one large web hosting plan?
There are two ways to run several client websites. With Web Hosting Eiger, up to 100 domains sit in a single cPanel account. That is simple as long as only you manage the websites. As soon as clients need their own logins or you want to keep projects cleanly separated, reseller hosting is the better choice.

Our recommendation: RS 10, or RS 5 to start
RS 10 is designed for small agencies: 10 client accounts with their own cPanel, 160 GB of NVMe storage for your whole reseller account, WHM, LiteSpeed, free SSL and daily backups with JetBackup. Your own reseller account does not count towards the limit. Freelancers with their first clients start with RS 5 for CHF 19.90 per month, with 5 client accounts and 80 GB. Per plan you can add up to 24 extra cPanel accounts or move to a larger plan later.
Every client account comes with Softaculous and WP Toolkit, you choose the PHP version per domain, and Imunify360 protects against malicious code. SSH is not included with RS 5 and RS 10; if you need SSH for your reseller account, choose RS-E 50.
What your clients see
Invoice, price and support come from you, and you set the plan name in WHM. HostOn remains visible in the name servers ns1.hoston.ch and ns2.hoston.ch and in the login address cpanel.hoston.ch; custom name servers under your own domain are not possible. Reseller hosting at HostOn is therefore not fully white-label. If your clients must never see the name of your hosting partner, it is not the right solution.
Costs over three years
You pay for the reseller plan monthly or yearly; there is no introductory discount that disappears later. Your clients' domains come on top, for example per .ch domain:

Prices incl. 8.1% Swiss VAT. What you charge your clients is up to you. Many agencies do not bill hosting separately but as part of a maintenance contract with updates and small changes. You will find a worked example with income and costs on the reseller page.
Bringing client websites to HostOn
Accounts from another cPanel server are taken over with files, databases, emails and DNS zones. From Plesk, DirectAdmin or other systems, files and databases are transferred and set up again. Move clients one at a time, test each website on a temporary address first and only switch DNS once the client has approved it. If you have several accounts, write to us beforehand so that we can plan the order together.
Data protection in client projects
As an agency you have access to your clients' websites, mailboxes and form data. Set out in your contracts who is responsible for what, give each person their own login instead of shared passwords and remove access when a project ends. This is general information, not legal advice.
