Frequently asked questions
Emails from this IP address are rejected or marked as spam by many recipients. Common causes are a compromised account, an insecure contact form or an open mail server.
First fix the cause, for example a hacked password. After that, most lists let you request removal via a form.
A blacklist (DNSBL) is a public list of IP addresses from which spam or attacks have originated. Many mail servers check incoming emails against such lists.
Usually spam has been sent via your IP address, often without your knowledge through a hacked password or malware. With dynamic home IPs, a previous user of the address can also be the cause.
The check queries well-known DNS blacklists, including Spamhaus and Barracuda. IPv4 addresses are checked.
Use secure, unique passwords, protect forms against misuse and set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC for your domain.
