Our VPS plans are unmanaged: you get full root access and manage the operating system and software yourself. For a managed environment without server administration, we recommend web hosting or WordPress hosting.

Yes. You can switch to a larger CORE plan at any time. CPU and RAM are increased after a restart; the additional storage is available afterwards.
A vCPU is a virtual processor core permanently assigned to your server. More vCPUs are worthwhile for applications with many simultaneous requests, for example shops, databases or containers.
With monthly billing, you can cancel the VPS at the end of the current month. With annual billing, the term is 12 months at the same monthly price.
A VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a virtual server with dedicated vCPU, memory and storage. You get full root access and install the software you need.
A VPS at HostOn costs from CHF 11.90 per month including VAT for CORE 1. The larger plans up to CORE 16 offer up to 16 vCPU and 32 GB RAM.
For websites and email, web hosting is simpler because we manage the server. A VPS makes sense if you want to run your own software, containers or special services with root privileges.
